Please Pray For These Vandals

I arrived this morning to find someone had vandalized our church van and the doors of our welcome center.  My first thought was anger towards those who had carried out this cowardly act.  I mean really, spray painting an object that does not move or defend itself while no one is looking. God reminded me, that whoever did this was not beyond His love. For me to hold anger against them would have a negative effect on me not them.  I do pray they get caught if for nothing else, us to reach out to them. We have some great church members who have already begun the restoration process for the van and doors.  Those things are the easy fix.  The hard fix will be these vandals being open to God as He reaches out to them. As He pulls them from the influence of the evil one (Satan). Dear Vandal(s), I do not know who you are but God loves you and I am praying for you.

Here are some verses to consider from God himself:

Ephesians 6:10-12 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we[c] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Titus 1:15 New Living Translation (NLT)
15 Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.

Matthew 5:43-48 New Living Translation (NLT)
43 “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’[a] and hate your enemy. 44 But I say, love your enemies![b] Pray for those who persecute you! 45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. 46 If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. 47 If you are kind only to your friends,[c] how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. 48 But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
